Annoying Disc Drive, Annoying Display

Hi, I have a Lenovo laptop for work that when it awakes from sleep the disc drive makes a noise. It doesn't sound troublesome, but it annoys me. In addition, my display, only when on battery, it dims down to a really low contrast, and then comes back up. I have no idea why it is doing this. Help me!!

Vonage Mobile pivots iPhone app into a much better place (Appolicious)

Appolicious - When I reviewed the Vonage Mobile for iPhone app back in 2009, it was a very different beast. Using the old version of the app involved creating a Vonage account that couldn’t be linked to your previously existing Vonage account, leaving long-time Vonage customers in a bit of a pickle. The app was fine for newcomers, but didn’t offer a ton of benefits outside of very cheap international calling rates.
